I well remember Mr Dugdale in the early 60's when the Villa squad trained up Trinity Road, after the training sessions he would sign autographs for anyone that asked before going back to Villa Park.
A true gentleman and a wonderful centre half.
Here's a question for you did anybody ever get Nigel Sims autograph? - Brian Bibb

There should be a hall of fame and should be on match days just before the match its something else for us fans to enjoy

It works well in many other sports so it can work very well in football to - Villa_Rules

What a fantastic player.I remember him playing a stormer at St Andrews in 1961 with concussion. Hard man.

Just think, we could [with a teeny bit of fortune] have won the Cup in 57, 59 and 60. I bet a few of those HEsITS chew that one around.

By my reckoning Sims, Aldis,Smith, Dixon, Sewell and Mc Parland from the '57 team are still with us. Does anyone know about Stan Crowther? I gather that Aldis and Dixon are not too well. - Salty
