We are 5th in the league and have a very good chance of finishing 6th at least. We have a team transformed by young talent - (Reo Cocker, has made a massive difference, the amount of times he has broken an opposition attack and regained possession for our attack has been one of the big factors in our improvement). MON is looking for quality players that, 1) Want to play for Villa, 2) Improve the squad, 3) Will be around for a while to build a good team over the next few years. Also, he is refusing to be ripped off which will reap benefits as time goes on & agents realise he's no soft touch. I haven't been this excited about going to a match since the 1980's. So what can we do? Whats our part to play in Villas transformation. Get behind MON and the team. Hutton is 22 and is the best right back to fit out squads attributes, young british and attack minded. i feel massivly let down by what has happened and cannot see how stearman, chimbonda or anyone else will improve our starting 11. mellberg just wont care anymore. gardner cant play right back for another 12/13 games. Whilst Spurs have finished th last 2 years in 5th and challenging so it understandable that they have a bigger pull in the transfer than us. Also MON is trying not to squander Mr Lerners' money for a quick fix look how much money Newcastle have wasted over the years just throwing cash at a problem rather than a team. Now look at Arsenal and Man Utd they buy young talent and build a squad from youth that are hungry and bond at a young age as a team. People should not get carried away by signings like stearman and scannell and have a moan, they are additions to the squad who may or may not turn out to be top players with time but they certainly wont be first team regulars instantly expected to get us into europe.
