All the great teams have a player like this." When Maloney played for Celtic he was involved in the game THROUGHOUT the game. That's because Celtic as a team have always had tricky wingers, which Maloney certainly was before he went to Villa, and at Parkhead the wingers, right and left, are constantly fed the ball and supported by the full backs and midfield, the idea being to get behind the opposition down the flanks. This ensures the wingers are almost constantly involved in the game. I have only seen Villa on the telly, but from what I've seen they have a much different style of play, so of course Maloney doesn't see as much of the ball.
